About the Beginners’ Yoga Class

Each beginner class starts with some breathing exercises and grounding followed by poses that warm up the spine and heat up the body. This is followed by a series of held postures to build strength, stability and stamina.

We include some breathwork and backbends to energise the mind and body.  Class ends with gentle stretching to improve flexibility and a nice relaxation.

Have a few classes under your belt?

Check out our Align & Flow classes.  Expect some simple flowing sequences to warm up the body matched with slower-paced movements that focus on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility,  Yin Yoga is very suitable if you feel very immobile and are interested in a more gentler yoga practice that will target stiff joints.

Prepare for your Beginners’ Yoga Class

– Yoga mats provided – but of course feel free to bring your own.
– Wear loose clothing.
– Bring a water bottle. Tap water available on site.
– Best to avoid eating anything too heavy 1-2 hours before class.
– If you live close by, walk to class and enjoy the ‘air-time’. If you’re in a hurry, there are lots of Dublin Bike stand options along the canal.
– If you need to drive, there is on-site parking (but it’s limited). Car entry is only possible via St. Mary’s Road.
There is also plenty of off-street paid parking available in the area. Please check signage to avoid being clamped!
