Mandala Yoga Dublin

Yoga Teacher

Meet Breda

My first introduction to yoga was at the National Maternity Hospital (or ‘Holles Street’ as it’s so fondly known) during my second pregnancy. The techniques that I learned during my prenatal yoga classes there had a profound impact on my labour and so began my story with yoga….

And in particular my interest in pregnancy yoga and supporting expectant mothers and new mums. Now a mum of two teenage boys, I have been practicing yoga for 15 years.

I first met Susan and Amy practicing at Init Yoga – in the ‘Before Mandala Yoga days’ before leaving to live in Singapore with my family for a few years.

It was in Singapore in 2019 that I completed my 200 hour teacher training followed by a 100 hour advanced Hatha Yoga training with the SVyasa University, India and Pregnancy Yoga qualifications.

After moving back to Dublin in 2022, it’s been great to reconnect with all the Mandala students. I am thrilled to be part of the teaching team sharing yoga and wellness in the workplace and with mums-to-be and new mums.

As well as teaching yoga, I am also a trained reflexologist and have recently started a masters in psychotherapy. And I started my career as a horticulturist so I’ve taken a keen interest in cultivating the Mandala Zen Zone garden at Haddington Road.
